my creative space

Im cutting out this morning in readiness for a three day sewing fest for sundays market.
The only way I can motivate myself is to cut everything out first. I aim to do more than is humanly possible in the time I have but thats the only approach that works for me.
If I limit myself before ive even started I cant settle into the making, finding that I cant focus on the sewing and finishing because my head is still full of designs and fabrics.
And so ill design and slice like a madwoman til im ready to hit the machines.
At this moment im not sure if I even feel like sewing!

It's very reassuring to see someone else out there who doesn't iron their fabric before cutting either! (that would just be a waste of time wouldn't it??) Hope your market prep goes well! Jo x

Sometimes you've just gotta push yourself to get the work done! I am exactly the same when I create something in that I get all the 'fiddly' bits ready first and then just go, go, go. I'm also the same in that I procrastinate as I (possibly mistakenly) believe I work better under pressure!!

Good luck getting through it all and enjoy the market! x

Jo, I never even thought to. Its straight from the supplier to the kitchen table.

Maxabella, I feel a bit more normal now thanks!

i like the animation on the side to TOTALLY distract me! you are like superwoman - if i cutout that many i would have made a mistake on the first and carried it through...

Hope your sewing fest goes brilliantly, and that you find your sewing mojo. Am hoping to come by on Sunday to say hello, so might see you there! xx

After all that cleaning and organising I thought you'd be busting to get back into sewing. Bet you love it once you get into it.
