we sewed and sewed

After announcing, without thinking first, that I intended to make some quick quilts for a couple of new babies born in my neck of the woods, and there were only 2 days left to do it in, I had a little unexpected help.

Zjahlii came to visit..... and brought The Gorgeous Distraction .....and I went opshopping til I dropped on Saturday morning (she could have kept going) ......but I/we managed to get
the quilts done. I was worried I wouldnt. The very quickly done stitching tells the story of how little time we had though. They are only cot size and a little bit offskew but at least they are finished.
The mums were really happy. And Im just a little bit chuffed with myself too.

they are two of the most gorgeous quilts I've ever seen. I'm sure the mums were thrilled. And that baby is divine, a gorgeous distraction indeed.

Your granddaughter is SO cute. Totally Love the quilts, and the arrangement of different fabrics. I want to sew some cushions, invite me over for a sewing frenzy.

I'm desperately trying to finish off a Winter sweater for a baby in Geelong. Even MOTH volunteered to do one of the sleeves for me just to get the thing moving. I did decline his offer, as the last time he knitted was in 1958 @ Blackburn Primary School! Your distraction is just gorgeous!

thank you thank you thank you, I love hurley's quilt, and i am sure Hurley will love it for years to come. You will have to show me how to make pants so i can make some for Hurley, unfortunately dresses and skirts just dont cut it for baby boys...
