my creative space-tonights episode

I just thought id post an update with the finished dresses.
My son came home with the flu halfway through the day so 'my' day got delayed.
I couldnt get a totally full length shot and after trying 20 or more times had to do two.

I used one of my home made bias bindings for the straps and hem
as the colours on the cloth were quite unusual,
and the yellow dress did get black lace on the bottom to 'darken' it up.

Off to do some much needed housework.
Ive pretty much got fabric scraps right through the place after this weeks to-doings.
Oh and my son just messaged me and said hes feeling much better!

Have you updated your wardrobe lately?

I love that the completed one is the one that was in pieces in your last post. Glad the bot is feeling better. Have a lovely night with your Bren. X

Very special indeed!
And isn't it always so special that the housework awaits us once we're done!

Hi! My name is erica. Would you be my friend? said...

They look great! My wardrobe is a tragedy really. After having my son I gained weight and gave bags and bags of great clothes to goodwill. Now I have a few basic, drab things to my name...

yes i rediscovered the love of vintage clothes after i threw out my size 14-16 clothes and now wear size 12. I want to sew again! You inspired me with your garments.

Michelle, instead of the sewing frenzy you offered can you take me jogging instead?

Bahahahaa have I updated my wardrobe lately... I'm wearing jeans so worn they have holes in the inner thigh. Sexy huh?!
You on the other hand, look delicious. Love how it's turned out. Pose in the yellow one too please. An action shot? Go on, I'm living glamour vicariously through you.
Glad to hear your boy is feeling better - I think i've picked up a bug from my lil man that made this week rather hellish...sometimes i really do cheer hooray for just being the nanny.

what a gorgeous dress!Love your choice of fabrics - very inspiring. Did you make the pattern up yourself, it sure is a very flattering fit...

Yes, i made the pattern. Its loosely based on a favourite dress of mine.
